摘要: This paper discusses the recent events and trajectory of Unconventional Hydrocarbon (UH) development in Europe United States, contrasting ‘high-politics’ debate on UH with ‘place-based’ perspectives locally impacted communities. The unitary frames that dominate official political debates, industry responses mainstream media texts, bifurcate as an economy versus environment issue are sharply contrasted more integrated reality local simultaneous need to make a living have healthy life, both physically socially.
