摘要: Children are an important vector for spreading influenza and they at increased risk complications. The appropriate diagnosis of may help start early antiviral treatment optimize the use antibiotics additional laboratory tests. objective this study was to describe influence rapid detection test (RIDT) on clinical management children with acute febrile respiratory tract infections. method consisted a prospective, open, cohort conducted in three primary care clinics Warsaw, Poland, during epidemic seasons 2009/2010 2010/2011. A total number 256 age 0–5 years symptoms infection were enrolled into study. 115 them tested RIDT (BD Directigen EZ FluA + B) another 141 children, who not tested, constituted control group. We found that gave positive results 35 (30%) out children. Antibiotics, blood tests urinalysis administered more often group compared (16% vs. 7%; 14% 5%, 47% 32%, respectively). Chest radiograms made only six cases from conclude infection, provides rational antivirals, reduces inappropriate antibiotics, decreases conducted.
