摘要: The optical properties of poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide) (PPO) film have been characterized in order to develop an alternative method for UV dosimetry with a focus on long-term human exposure measurements. dynamic range PPO was found extend 2 MJ m(-2) broadband independently thickness, providing roughly four summer days at subtropical latitudes. sensitivity the positively related thickness 20-40 microm range. Films 40 proved be most suitable temperature independence response established from 1.5 degrees C 50 within dosimeter uncertainty 6.5%. Dose-rate also demonstrated 8% mean response. spectral approximates CIE erythemal action spectrum between 300 and 340 nm, peak 305 nm. A large deviation this observed shorter wavelengths. Investigation angular both azimuth altitude planes showed cosine error less than 6.2% 0 degrees, did not exceed 13.3% any angle greater degrees. These results indicate that satisfies requirements use as dosimeter, may employed
