摘要: The purpose of this paper is to make comparisons between optimum, linear phase, finite impulse response (FIR) digital filters and infinite (IIR) which meet equivalent frequency domain specifications. basis comparison is, for the most part, number multiplications per sample required in usual realizations these — i.e., cascade form IIR filters, direct FIR filters. Comparisons are also made group-delay equalized phase Considerations dealing with word-length effects discussed both filter types. A set design charts presented determining minimum order given low-pass specifications analog
