摘要: Hyaluronate intraarticular injections are widely used for treatment of pain associated with osteoarthritis the knee, but there is no published literature on its use in hand. We describe an open-label, baseline-controlled pilot study which 5 weekly 10 mg sodium hyaluronate (molecular weight 500-730 kDa) 1 mL was to treat 16 patients osteoarthritic first metacarpal-carpal (MC-C) joints. The were performed easily and well tolerated. Mean score at months after last injection, a 10-point visual analog scale, decreased from 4.74 2.56 rest. Pain 5.91 4.33. Pinch strength short questionnaire hand function did not significantly change. results this small suggest that into MC-C joint administered, tolerated, could be effective option joint. Further investigation using larger, blind controlled clinical studies warranted.
