摘要: The role of glucagon in normal glucose homeostasis and the potential contribution this hormone to genesis maintenance hyperglycemia ketonemia diabetes mellitus have been focus extensive investigation past decade. Recent studies affirmed participation importance control hepatic output (Bomboy, Jr., Lewis, Sinclair-Smith, Lacy, Liljenquist, 1977a; Bomboy, 1977b; Chiasson, Jennings, Keller, 1976; Felig, Wahren, Hendler, 1976a), but at same time challenged its significance for metabolic abnormalities (Felig et al., 1976b). Two major tools enabled performance these studies. first is availability radioimmunoassay procedures utilizing antisera with a high degree “specificity” so-called pancreatic (Sperling, DeLamater, Kazenelson, Fiser, Fisher, 1974). second somatostatin (SRIF), tetradecapeptide which inhibits secretion number hormones including insulin (Vale, Brazeau, Rivier, Brown, Boss, Burgus, Ling, Guillemin, 1975).
