How to consolidate urban flows of goods without setting up an urban consolidation centre

摘要: Abstract Urban consolidation centres (UCC's) are a popular measure in city logistics. They usually introduced by local governments order to reduce the number of motorized freight vehicles entering their cities. Practice has shown, however, that most these UCC's granted only short lifespan because strong reliance on government subsidies. Still, striving make best possible use truckload capacities is important when aiming urban streets. Hence, search for alternative strategies necessary. The goal this paper threefold. First all, it goes more deeply into causes current lack consolidation. Secondly, existing literature and research logistics was explored previous findings At last, framework classification measures initiatives developed based survey already adopted alternatives.
