摘要: The recognition, description, and investigation of the role hormone receptors, particularly progesterone in growth meningioma potential value this information treatment demonstrate a rewarding interaction between oncologist, epidemiologist, pathologist, endocrinologist, neurosurgeon.Associations first described case reports led to epidemiologic studies that confirmed these clinical impressions. Analysis meningiomas by receptor assay suggested mechanism responsible for observations.These assays have recently been confirmed, turn, immunohistochemical studies. Appreciation has now resulted trials hormonal manipulation control unresectable meningioma.
