摘要: The somatic mutation and recombination test (SMART) in Drosophila melanogaster was carried out to investigate whether or not coffee can modulate the genotoxicity of well-established mutagenic/carcinogenic chemicals cyclophosphamide (CPH), diethylnitrosamine (DEN), mitomycin C (MMC), procarbazine (PRO) urethane (URE). For this purpose, 3-day-old larvae, trans-heterozygous for wing hair markers mwh (multiple hairs) flr3 (flare3), were raised on instant medium containing either genotoxin alone combination with coffee. From results obtained, it evident that chronic co-administration effective significantly reducing frequencies single twin spots induced by CPH, DEN, MMC URE but PRO. maximum reduction observed (produced mitotic recombination) after feeding larvae compounds CPH URE.
