摘要: In Mediterranean countries, inventories of many animal groups, particularly insects, are incom- plete or nonexistent. Hence, a feasible spatial picture unequally surveyed areas is required to ascertain which faunistic surveys good enough produce reliable estimates species richness. We used general- ized linear models build multiple-regression function through we predicted the distribution Ibe- rian dung beetle Given scarcity and unevenness species-richness distribu- tion, number records database (BANDASCA), falling within each 50 km grid squares, was chosen as measure sampling effort for that square. Examining asymptotic rela- tionship between dung-beetle physioclimatic Iberian subregion, found 82 squares (32% total) were adequately sampled. Dung-beetle richness related in these cells 24 explanatory variables. Curvilinear functions, interaction terms, significant third-degree polynomial terms latitude longitude included model distribution. The final accounted 62.4% total deviance after eliminated seven outlier with maximum elevation, grassland area, land-use diversity, forest geological di- versity, terrestrial area calcareous rock diversity being most independent residuals func- tion not spatially autocorrelated, validated by jackknife procedure. Large environmentally complex hotspots Central, Baetic, Subbaetic mountain ranges stand out from emerging map Further detailed research determine complementarity faunas two main hotspots, key question conservation planning dung-feeding beetle.
