摘要: a b s t r c In this study, activity patterns of the European hare (Lepus europaeus) were analyzed during winter using global positioning system (GPS) collars on 24 hares in two study areas located central Italy. We programmed to collect 12 location points per day, for duration three months. Results show distinct phases activities related day-night cycle. The daytime phase is characterized by inactivity at form while second movements. Males more active than females, showing constant locomotor whole night. Females showed peaks night with reduction middle time period. comparison between females difference interfix distance particular around sunset and sunrise. fact minimum daily movement shows that foraging sites area B are distant those A. recent possibility apply GPS small-medium mammals provides powerful instrument behavioral ecology hare, consequently promote an effective population management strategy species conservation. © 2013 Published Elsevier GmbH behalf Gesellschaft fu Sa ugetierkunde.
