摘要: Mg(mesC{NCy}2)(N{SiMe3}2)(THF) is a (pre)catalyst for C–C bond formation. Attempted isolation of intermediates in proposed catalytic cycle was hindered by facile ligand redistribution. A subsequent investigation commercially available organo- or amidomagnesium(II) compounds (including Grignard reagents) demonstrated similar behavior.
