摘要: Beta-Amyloid peptide (Aβ), a major protein component of brain senile plaques in Alzheimer’s disease (AD), has been considered as critical cause the pathogenesis AD. Pinostrobin, potent flavonoid inducer, is and most active ingredient Folium cajani. The present study aimed to investigate whether pinostrobin could provide protective effect against Aβ25-35-induced neurotoxicity cultured rat pheochromocytoma (PC12) cells. PC12 cells were pretreated with different concentrations for 2 h, followed by challenge 20 μM Aβ25–35 24 h. results showed that pretreatment significantly elevated cell viability, decreased lactate dehydrogenase activity, levels intracellular reactive oxygen species calcium, mitochondrial membrane potential Aβ25–35-treated In addition, suppressed formation DNA fragmentation increased ratio Bcl-2/Bax. These indicate was able exert neuroprotective Aβ25–35-induced cells, at least part, via inhibiting oxidative damage calcium overload, well suppressing pathway cellular apoptosis.
