摘要: Low levels of testicular estrogen synthesis have been reported in a number species, but the cellular localization has not unequivocally established. To study aromatase human testis, we combined immunocytochemistry with direct measurement enzyme activity 6 microns cryosections. Thus, functionality immunoreaction and its sensitivity can be assessed quantitative terms. Testes were obtained from immediate autopsy men aged 18-53 years, surgery two patients prostatic cancer (67 74 years) normal children 8 months 3 years at autopsy. Benign sex cord tumors also examined unrelated 5 gynecomastia diagnosed Peutz-Jeghers syndrome. Our results consistently showed low to moderate staining intensity immunoreactive comparison that placental Immunoreactive was only present interstitial Leydig cells absent Sertoli all adult testes showing spermatogenesis. Aromatase correlated well immunostain. However, there no obvious relationship between level increasing age. Generally higher young (18-22 years). No immunostain any cell type detected one 33-year-old patient cancer. In prepubertal boys, immunostaining observed. intensely stained as high observed suggest are source may express this under abnormal conditions. The methods for measuring suitable application tissues expressing aromatase.
