Molecular mechanisms leading to cell junction (cadherin) deficiency in invasive carcinomas

摘要: It has been realized for some time that the loss of epithelial differentiation in carcinomas, which is accompanied by higher mobility and invasiveness tumor cells, a consequence reduced intercellular adhesion. A variety recent reports have indicated primary cause 'scattering' cells invasive carcinomas integrity adherens junctions often involving functional cell-cell adhesion molecule E-cadherin. In present review, permanent transient molecular mechanisms are discussed lead to impairment junctional thus progression toward more metastatic state.
