摘要: Abstract Tar (heavy hydrocarbon or Poly Aromatic Hydrocarbon (PAH)) removal from biomass derived fuel gas is one of the biggest obstacles in its utilization for power generation. We have investigated pulsed corona as a method tar removal. Our previous experimental results indicated an energy consumption 200–250 J/L at optimum temperature 400 °C. One challenges scaling up process based on availability high sources. To overcome this, newer streamer generation by alternative “DC/AC” source investigated. Energy used basis comparing two methods chemical efficiency. Results indicate system and DC/AC to similar
