摘要: Abstract The nature and amount of the carbonized products, particularly carbon nano-fibers/nano-tubes, etc. formed in liquid hydrocarbons by spark discharges is being reported. between needle plate electrodes submersed n -hexadecane toluene produced carbonaceous products along with gas evolution an overall energy efficiency ∼30 g/kWh. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) study revealed closed-end nano-tubes (dia. ∼300 nm), wool like balls nano-fibers/nano-tubes ∼40 nm), nano-rods ∼2500 nm), round particles 500–1000 nm) fused together forming cauliflower structure, folded sheet structures.
