摘要: Abstract Background Controversy exists in the literature regarding differential expression of S100 protein members and their functional correlations oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). The aim present study was to systematically review family among OSCC healthy controls evaluate whether serve as diagnostic marker OSCC. Methods Indexed databases were searched up including October 2017. Case-control/cross-sectional studies human diagnosed clinically and/or histologically with evaluated included. Results A total 11 Four good quality, 5 moderate 2 poor quality. Five S100A2, A7 A12 showed overexpression these levels patients when compared controls. Three reported down-regulation S100A1, A3, A6, A11, A13, A14, A16 S100Z Two S100A9 one each S100A4, A8, A10, S100P OSCCs respectively. Conclusion It remains debatable up-regulation or specific serves a With findings systematic review, threshold for proteins cannot be proposed. In addition, S100A7 could act potential marker. However, further case-control larger sample size are required obtain strong conclusion this regard.
