摘要: Detectability of the European red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) has rarely been investigated in Mediterranean forests. In this study we used occupancy models to investigate detectability relation habitat types by squirrels, a mosaic different forests types, hilly area Central Italy. The distribution target species was using hair tubes. Overall, there prevalence tubes squirrels mixed conifers and deciduous young than coniferous Our preliminary shows that type may influence probability detection rather presence; therefore, future studies should take differential into account either applying or adjusting sampling effort accordingly.
