摘要: Schizophrenia is a chronic and severe mental illness which frequently leads to substantial lifelong disability. The past five years have seen major progress in our understanding of the complex genetic architecture this disorder. Two barriers core biological processes that underlie schizophrenia developing better interventions are (1) absence etiologically defined biomarkers (2) clinical heterogeneity Here, we review recent advances led changes risk factors mechanisms involved development schizophrenia. In particular, mechanistic clinically oriented approaches now converged on focus disruptions early neurodevelopment synaptic plasticity as being critical for both trajectories intervening change them. Translating these new findings into treatments substantively lives patients next challenge field.
