摘要: The tear film plays a crucial role in the areas of contact lens wear and dry eye. However, despite its accessibility, there is no “gold-standard” test for assessing functional quality. Current clinical tests are often poorly correlated with each other may be subjective and/or invasive nature. While much effort has been expended volume stability, significantly less attention paid to mechanism formation. Early work using motion-photography naturally occurring lipid particles within noted that, immediately following blink, tears spread upwards over cornea velocity about 10 mm/sec. More recent analysing spreading relation thickness proposed that key factors influencing were eyelid velocity, meniscus, viscosity, surface tension.
