摘要: Abstract The preparation and characterization of Ca-alginate microspheres obtained by a new procedure from alginic acid, treated with an excess NaOH subsequently very concentrated solution CaCl 2 are described. produced particles have spherical shape average diameter 350 μ m. show relative dense homogeneous internal structure in comparison previously reported alginate microcapsules (the bulk density being 0.47 g/cm 3 ), consequently the particle matrix is characterized high charged carboxylic groups. Particles contact time 1 h showed degree crosslinking 54%. Microspheres good stability, despite low swelling, they solvents regain, excellent ionic binding capacity cationic drugs.
