摘要: En esta corta revision, nuestro objetivo fue describir algunas nuevas aplicaciones de un polisacarido natural extraido algas: el alginato. Primeramente, la composicion quimica es revisada, ademas citar las principales tecnicas utilizadas para su caracterizacion. El papel los bloques acido guluronico (bloques GG) particularmente importante propiedades mecanicas del gel en presencia Ca como contraion. Despues, se mencionan brevemente area alimentos y biomedicina, seguida experimentales embalaje, papel, textiles, vendajes heridas, cuales son descritas. Especialmente, fibras finas alginato ahora producidas industrialmente una forma ionica mixta sodio/calcio.
