摘要: Objective. The aim of this study was to examine the hypothesis that subcutaneous occipital stimulation influences pain due neuralgia. Materials and Methods. Between 2001 2004 eight patients with intractable neuralgia were referred our center. Their records reviewed. Each patient interviewed over telephone. They all offered a trial using percutaneous lead 1 week. If they achieved 50% reduction permanent implanted. impact measured by score, analgesic requirements, employment status. Results. Seven proceeded stimulator. There in visual analog score postimplantation five seven patients. total quantity opiates taken after implantation showed marked reduction. Of who had implant two acquired full-time employment. Conclusion. Occipital is useful reversible treatment for neuralgia.
