摘要: Objective To determine the accuracy of self-report physician diagnosed rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in moderately to severely disabled older women. Methods A total 1002 participants Women's Health and Aging Study were included. These women > or =65 years old, had an average 4 chronic illnesses, represented one-third most living community. Self-report a physician's diagnosis RA was compared cases "definite" that adjudicated using algorithm modeled on American College Rheumatology criteria for RA. Results The sensitivity 77%, with 90.6% specificity 99% negative predictive value, kappa = 0.46. positive value 34% likely reflected low prevalence this sample (3.1%).
