摘要: Lactococcus garvieae is an emerging pathogen responsible for lactococcosis, a serious disease in trout aquaculture. The identification of new bacteriophages against L. strains may be effective way to fight this and study the pathogen's biology. Three phages, termed WP-1, WWP-2 SP-2, were isolated from different environments, their morphological features, genome restriction profiles structural protein patterns studied. Random cloning HindIII-cut fragments was performed, partially sequenced each phage. Although slight differences observed by transmission electron microscopy, all phages had hexagonal heads short non-contractile tails classified as members family Podoviridae. Restriction digestion analysis nucleic acids revealed that HindIII AseI digests produced similar DNA fragment patterns. Additionally, SDS-PAGE indicated have proteins. sequence BLAST results did not show any significant similarity with other previously identified phages. To best our knowledge, provides first molecular characterization
