摘要: Abstract The mico-scale abrasion test has become very popular in recent years for the measurement of abrasive wear coatings and other materials. A EU-funded project just been completed that had aim developing method, revising existing CEN ENV into a full standard. Key aspects were concerned with accuracy measurements, repeatability reproducibility method through an interlaboratory exercise, industrial applicability to different types coatings. main methods can be applied are optical measurements profilometry. Here, it was found profilometry gave important information on shape crater produced during test, but adequate most cases. about 2% when results laboratories compared. Fourteen organisations participated exercise. This reasonable method. paper concludes by describing procedure recommended at end project, is likely adopted CEN, ASTM ISO standards.
