摘要: The cytochrome P-450 monooxygenase system possesses catalytic activity toward many exogenous compounds (e.g., drugs, insecticides, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) endogenous steroids, fatty acids, prostaglandins). Multiple forms of with different substrate specificities have been isolated. In the present paper we report isolation sequence a cDNA clone for human hepatic responsible mephenytoin (an anticonvulsant) oxidation. is analogous to rat form termed PB-1 (family P450C2C). We also that encoded by one small family related genes all which map chromosome 10q24.1-10q24.3. role this enzyme appears be in steroid oxidations. This does not correspond any gene families previously mapped humans.
