摘要: In order to determine the effects of continuous exposure 17 ± 2 ppm NO in air on cell renewal bronchiolar and alveolar cells, young rats were exposed continuously for as long seven days, removed at intervals, killed. One hour before killings, dividing cells labeled with tritiated thymidine. terminal bronchioles, labeling index increased fourfold, mathe first 24 hours. The decreased slowly by days had returned original level. walls, majority being type II cells. Here, too, indexes control levels seventh day. Cell renewal, thus, is initially stimulated then returns levels.
