摘要: PURPOSE:To provide a picture binarization device where an appropriate threshold based on the histogram of lightness is decided and input can satisfactorily speedily be binarized through use even if illumination unevenness occur in picture. CONSTITUTION:A character image-picked up by image sensor 1, digitalized A/D converter 3 stored frame memory 5. The inputted separated into plural partial pictures window circuit 7, block separation 9 selection 11. Then, notice adjacent blocks to are selected from pictures. A unit 13 generates histograms as blocks. thresholds respective outputted data using neural network 18 threshold.
