摘要: Recent attention is focused on the impact of diet health and mental well-being. High-salt cholesterol (HSCD) known to be associated with neuroinflammation which predominant factor for neurodegenerative disease like Alzheimer (AD). In present study, we examined neuroprotective potential rosuvastatin, an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor against HSCD induced cognitive impairment. Our results demonstrated that HSCD-induced impairment as determined by Morris water maze (MWM) task. also activated nuclear kappaB (NF-kB) signaling pathway. The cytokine response was measured using a cytometric bead-based assay quantified flow cytometry. Treatment rosuvastatin decreased production nitric oxide (NO), tumor necrosis alpha (TNF-α) increased interleukin-10 (IL-10) in dose-dependent manner. modulates neuronal cell death inhibiting overexpression NF-kB CA1 region hippocampus. addition, molecular docking study indicated high affinity tighter binding capacity active site NF-kB. These suggest HSCD-triggered inflammatory may NF-κB Therefore, treatment could new therapeutic strategy sporadic dementia AD.
