摘要: Abstract The linearized non‐divergent barotropic vorticity equation in one dimension is used for the study of a problem associated with specification lateral boundaries limited area models. This presents itself form “pillow” that builds up near inflow boundary model. Linear analysis shows this pillow can easily be eliminated. integrations carried out corrector seem to reasonably accurate. Similar shallow water equations also produce and same gives improved results. Additional runs are performed order show some commonly nesting strategies do not control computational satisfactory manner. It seems these could an appropriate corrector.
