摘要: We examined the anti-tumor proliferation effects of wakame seaweed on 7,12-dimethylbenz(a)-anthracene (DMBA)-induced rat mammary tumor. DMBA was administered to 8-week-old female Sprague-Dawley rats, and rats which developed tumors were assigned randomly three groups. Commercial feed used in a control group (group I-A), two mixtures prepared, contained commercial blended with at 1.0% I-B) 5.0% I-C) by weight. The respective feeds given each for 8 weeks, changes tumor size compared. At end experiment, thyroid glands resected compare their weights. Serum total iodine thyroxin (T4) levels measured. Immunohistochemical studies bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) labeling, transforming growth factor (TGF)-beta, apoptosis carried out Significant suppression observed groups I-B I-C compared I-A. In I-C, weights significantly lower serum concentration higher than BrdU indices TGF-beta apoptotic index inversely related BrdU. These results suggest that is transported from into tissues induces through expression TGF-beta. conclusion, suppressed DMBA-induced tumors.
