摘要: In the order Porphyridiales there are three clades based on molecular evidence. These show parallels with low weight carbohydrate (LMWCs) in different genera. Clade 1 includes Dixoniella, Glaucosphaera, Rhodella, and one undescribed genus (3987) that all contain mannitol. 2 comprises taxa of Stylonematales Rhodosorus Stylonema species contains digeneaside sorbitol, whereas Chroodactylon has only sorbitol. clade 3 Flintiella, Porphyridium, (3797) possess floridoside. Erythropeltidales Rhodochaete floridoside digeneaside, Erythrotrichia floridoside, Sahlingia subintegra traces D-floridoside, Smithora L-isofloridoside plus Compsopogonales Boldia Compsopogon have Within these genera as presently circumscribed, LMWCs appear to be a reliable character supplement usual cytological characters.
