摘要: Alarming reports regarding the health of silver fir (Abies alba Mill., hereafter shortened to “fir”) and Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst., “spruce”) in Vosges first became available spring 1983. In fact, foresters had expressed concern about a possible dieback on Alsatian slope as early 1978. However, at that time field visit by group ecologists concluded damage could mostly be attributed impact droughts, especially 1976, over-mature stands (Becker et al. 1978). There was no consensus need or otherwise launch extensive research addition which then being carried out into severe affecting oak various French regions late 1970s.
