Thromboembolism in Patients With the 'Lupus'-Type Circulating Anticoagulant

摘要: • Thirty-five patients with the lupus anticoagulant (LA) were followed up between 1975 and 1982. The most prevalent clinical manifestation occurring in these was thrombosis. Nineteen (54.3%) had a single or recurrent thrombotic episode. Fifteen (42.8%) venous thrombosis, arterial thrombosis manifested by stroke transient ischemic attacks occurred six patients. Bleeding only five patients, four of whom severe thrombocytopenia, while no excessive bleeding noted during 18 operative procedures.
