摘要: Human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) and fat globule membrane (MFGM) are highly abundant in breast milk, have been shown to exhibit potent immunomodulatory effects. Yet, their role the gut microbiota modulation relation colitis remains understudied. Since mixtures of fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) perfectly mimic properties functions HMOs, combination MFGM, FOS, GOS (CMFG) has therefore developed used this study. Here, CMFG were pre-fed mice for three weeks investigate its preventive effect on dextran sodium sulfate (DSS) induced colitis. Moreover, CMFG-treated vehicle-treated cohoused further elucidate transfer At end study, 16S rDNA gene amplicon sequencing, short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) profiling, transcriptome histological analysis, immunofluorescence staining flow cytometry analysis conducted. Our results showed that pre-supplementation alleviated DSS-induced as evidenced by decreased disease activity index (DAI) score, reduced body weight loss, increased colon length mucin secretion, ameliorated intestinal damage. macrophages colon, resulting levels IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α, MPO circulation. Furthermore, altered composition promoted SCFAs production Markedly, cohousing study revealed from largely improved damage infiltration colon. protected against dysbiosis promotes production, which be associated with amelioration. Collectively, these findings demonstrate beneficial gastrointestinal diseases, provide evidence rational design effective prophylactic functional diets both animals humans.
