摘要: Using antibodies to neuropeptide Y (NPY) in combination with immunohistochemical techniques we have studied the distribution of cell bodies and nerve terminals containing NPY immunoreactivity (-i) hippocampal region rats monkeys (cynomolgus). In colchicine-pretreated a large number NPY-positive cells are present all areas region. The NPY-i range size from small (diameter across soma: 10-15 micron) (approximately 20 micron). Most situated hilus, subgranular zone area dentata, stratum oriens Ammon's horn. A majority these polymorphic but different morphology layers as well. These include spheroid dentate pyramidal basket that distinct zone. subicular complex (e.g., subiculum, pre-, parasubiculum) entorhinal contain fewer than rest dorsal parts pre- parasubiculum numerous scattered throughout layers, while NPY-stained primarily deep (V VI). ventral part lateral multipolar bitufted found II-VI. untreated monkey brain hilus dentata (IV through VI) both medial area. Fewer well rat, angular bundle alveus. dense network fibers innervates entire rat monkey. preterminal processes moleculare horn outer one-third this layer dentata. innervation molecular is far more prominent brain. Numerous other retrohippocampal structures, particular area, form massive about same extent, exception layer, which densely innervated layers.
