摘要: INTRODUCTION Doctors are vulnerable to psychiatric morbidity as a result of their busy schedules and multiple role obligations. Yet, they often don't admit have mental health problems nor readily subjected evaluation by colleagues due fear labeling general stigma. METHODS A cross-sectional survey doctors in the service University Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Ilorin, Nigeria was done using socio-demographic questionnaire twelve items General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12) cut-off point 3 indicate possibility disorder (GHQ-12 positive). Non-parametric analysis regression test factors associated with SPSS. Level significance set at 0.05 p-value. RESULTS Two hundred forty one representing 68.9% participated survey. The prevalence among GHQ-12 14.9%. Being married, non-participation social activities perception work load being "heavy" were significantly (p-value < 0.05). CONCLUSION Hospital higher than population prevalence. Measures lessen negative effect marriage perceived heavy on doctors, such provision recreational facilities within hospital encouragement doctors' participation advanced.
