摘要: In 2011, Schmallenberg virus (SBV), a novel member of the Simbu serogroup, genus Orthobunyavirus, was identified as causative agent disease in ruminants Europe. Based on current knowledge arthropods involved transmission group viruses, role both midges and mosquitoes SBV cycle cannot be excluded beforehand. The persistence overwintering at SBV-affected farms Netherlands investigated. No evidence for presence 868 hibernating (Culex, Anopheles, Culiseta spp., collected from January to March 2012) found. This suggests that do not play an important role, if any, during winter months northwestern
