摘要: We report the use of a focused ion beam/scanning electron microscope (FIB/SEM) for simultaneous investigation digestive gland epithelium gross morphology and ultrastructure multilamellar intracellular structures. Digestive glands terrestrial isopod (Porcellio scaber, Isopoda, Crustacea) were examined by FIB/SEM transmission microscopy (TEM). The results obtained TEM are comparable complementary. shows same ultrastructural complexity structures as indicated TEM. term lamellar bodies was used multillamellar in P. scaber due to their structural similarity found vertebrate lungs. Lamellar different animals vary abundance, number well thickness concentric lamellae per body. revealed connection between morphological features structure bodies. Serial slicing imaging cells enables easy identification contact body lipid droplet. There frequent reports invertebrate cells, but laminated cellular still poorly known. can significantly contribute knowledge is always recommended when link ultrastrucutre investigated, especially or inclusions have dynamic nature normal, stressed pathological conditions.
