Relationship between oral glucose tolerance and gastric emptying in normal healthy subjects

摘要: The relationships between gastric emptying and intragastric distribution of glucose oral tolerance were evaluated in 16 healthy volunteers. While sitting front a gamma camera the subjects drank 350 ml water containing 75 g 20 MBq 99mTc-sulphur colloid. Venous blood samples for measurement plasma glucose, insulin inhibitory polypeptide obtained at — 2, 5, 10, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, 105, 120 150 min. Gastric approximated linear pattern after short lag phase (3.3±0.8 min). 50% time was inversely related to proximal stomach (r=−0.55, p<0.05) directly retention distal min (r=0.72, p<0.01). Peak amount emptied 5 (r=0.58, area under curve 0 30 p<0.05). In contrast, (r=−0.56, (r=−0.53, Plasma (r=−0.65, p<0.01) emptying. increase (r=0.53, These results indicate normal that (i) accounts about 34 % variance peak 75-g load (ii) levels are inversely, rather than directly, (iii) influences glucose.
