摘要: BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Minimally invasive esophagectomy is emerging with comparable short-term outcomes as open esophagectomies. Neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy followed by surgery considered standard of care in the Netherlands for patients esophageal cancer. The aim this study was to analyze long-term oncologic outcome after neoadjuvant totally minimally esophagectomy. METHODS carboplatin and paclitaxel based chemotherapy concomitantly given 41.4 Gy radiotherapy. Six weeks treatment, performed. RESULTS From December 2010 until 2015 161 received combination treatment. In 128 male 33 female median age 65 years (58-71), 88 esophagectomies intrathoracic anastomosis 73 cervical were carried out. Radical (R0) resection confirmed 156 (97%). hospital mortality occurred 6 (3.7%). Overall survival 79% 51% at 1 5 years, respectively, a follow-up 24.5 months (13-38). Disease-free was, 76% 55%. CONCLUSIONS Totally cancer safe treatment low postoperative rates favorable overall disease-free survival.
