摘要: Traditional microscopy-based methods for diagnosis of bacterial vaginosis (BV) are underutilized in many settings, and molecular techniques may provide opportunities rapid, objective, accurate BV diagnosis. This study evaluated the quantitative AmpliSens Florocenosis/Bacterial vaginosis-FRT multiplex real-time PCR (Florocenosis-BV) assay. Vaginal samples from a previous including unselected female subjects (n = 163) using Amsel criteria 454 pyrosequencing were examined with Florocenosis-BV test additionally tested presence quantity Gardnerella vaginalis clades 3 4. The assay demonstrated 100% 98% sensitivity compared pyrosequencing, respectively, 91% specificity. modified (detecting also G. 4) resulted vs specificity 86% 88%, respectively. Further optimizations thresholds parameters used kit 99-100% accuracy selected parameters. is an accurate, sensitive, specific method diagnosis; however, performance can be further improved some minor optimizations.
