摘要: Background: Healthcare profession is known to be at high risk for work related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs). It estimated that almost one-third of all cases sick leave among healthcare workers are WMSDs. Many studies conducted, which measured the variety factors across a range occupations different levels risk. However, relation current exposure developing WMSDs indeed an area looked into. Hence, study evaluated and groups professionals. Materials Methods: This was cross-sectional exposure-risk assessment study, conducted on 140 professionals, including dentists, laboratory technicians, nurses, physicians physiotherapists various clinical departments in tertiary care hospital Chennai, India from January June 2013. Face-to-face interviews observational analysis job tasks were employed. Different combinations validated standardized questionnaires used collecting types data. Results: The occurrence indicates nurses highest WMSDs, followed by dentists whereas technicians have least. Among participants who reported MSDs pain, more than half work. Conclusion: professions, found group, low group. We recommend education, awareness, training programs prevention coping strategies made mandatory
