Precipitin Reactions Between Extracts of Seeds of Canavalia ensiformis (Jack Bean) and Normal and Pathological Serum Proteins

摘要: Summary Extracts of the seeds Jack Bean (Canavalin ensiformis) and several other plant species have been shown to property precipitating serum proteins. Several normal proteins give precipitin lines when tested against extracts Rean, but α2-macroglobulim is by far most reactive. Massive reactions were given pathological in all fifteen cases macroglobulinaemia tested. In only ten out thirty multiple myelomatosis was a reaction observed, then weakly. Reactions principally those with β-like rather than γ-like mobility. Resume Des extraits de semences Canavalia erisiformis et plusieurs autres especes plantes sont apparus avoir la propriete precipiter les proteines seriques. Plusieurs normales donnent des lignes precipitations avec cnsiformis, mais plus fortes ont lieu avce Alpha2-macroglobulines. On obtenu drs reactinm ***tres pathologiques provenant quinze cas macroglobulinemie. Dans dix myelomes multiples sur trente, on observe une faible precipitation. Ces etaient presentant migration du type β-globuline qu'avec γ-globulines. Zusammenfassung Extrakte von Samen der Bohne (Canavalia cnsiformis) sowie anderer Pflanzenarten vermogen Serumproteine zu prazipitieren. Die Prazipitatiori betrifft mehrere Serumproteine; α2-Makroglobuline reagieren allerdings weitaus am starksten. Paraproteine 15 Makroglobulinamien zeigten ausnahmslos starke Reaktionen. Unter 30 Myelomseren wurde unr bei 10 eine schwache Prazipitation beobachtet. pathologischen Proteine mit elektrophoretischen Wanderungs-geschwindigkeit β-Globulinen reagierten im allgrmeinen starker als diejenigen γ-Beweglichkeit.
