摘要: This chapter considers the effect of cancer screening on psychological morbidity and importance factors to success programmes. There is ample evidence that patients with newly diagnosed or recurrent suffer morbidity, some which avoidable. Physical symptoms disease, effects different treatments apprehensions about metastasis death cause inevitable distress but additional often caused unnecessarily by patient’s misconceptions suboptimal care. Interest in measuring specifically recent, arising from contention a test, although capable reducing mortality, might yet not be justified if harm associated outweighed benefit [43, 56].
