摘要: ABSTRACT A collection of fossil fish teeth and other elements from Eocene deposits on the northshore Birket Qarun, Fayum Depression, Egypt, is reported. This adds significantly to our knowledge, as it consists material that was screened sediments, allowing small represent taxa not previously reported Fayum. Previous collections these sediments have concentrated larger remains generally elasmobranchs, which are marine species lower in section. Most this material, collected by screening at Qarun 2 (BQ-2) locality, represents fully freshwater fishes.
