摘要: Fright Night (1985) is a nostalgic and self-reflexive vampire film, made at moment when the subgenre seemed increasingly irrelevant. It tries to rejuvenate film by adhering its classical conventions updating them for new audience same time. The reflects on place within genre, developing these themes mainly through characters of Peter Vincent, former "Great Vampire Killer" movies who now facing professional obsolescence, Jerry Dandridge, whom neglect as menacing figure represents liberation.
