摘要: Thiouracil is a thyrostat inhibiting the thyroid function, resulting in fraudulent weight gain if applied fattening of livestock. The latter abuse strictly forbidden and monitored European Union. Recently, endogenous sources thiouracil were identified after frequently monitoring low-level positive urine samples "recommend concentration" (RC) 10 ∼g/L was suggested by EURL to facilitate decision-making. However, systematic occurrence exceeding RC led demands for international surveys defining an epidemiologic threshold. Therefore, six member states (France, Poland, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Norway, Belgium) have shared their official data (2010-2012) collected from bovines, porcines, small livestock with 95 99% percentiles 8.1 18.2 bovines (n = 3894); 7.4 13.5 porcines 654); (95% only) 85), respectively. Bovine decreased animal age (nonadults had significantly higher levels bovines), observed male compared female bovines.
